Christmas Time

The children are happy with great expectations
The parents are worried because they've just blown the budget
The store owner smiles with glee, money, you see
The Christmas tree is placed neatly in City Park
There will be many Christmas parties this week
The glasses will toast as men boast
A very Merry Christmas.

The children will track Santa's arrival over the computers net
The school will have plays
As they sing of Santa's reindeer pulling the sleigh
Christmas morning will come
Presents are opened with joy for all those wonderful toys
The dinner is cooked with special delights
This will happen in millions of houses tonight.

We hope you have noticed there's something missing
There is no room in their inn
For the greatest birth that has ever been
Because their lives are just too full of sin
There is no mention of the Savior's birth within
Their eyes are by sight
Their ears are in tune to hear Santa's goodnight.

Christ Jesus is the only reason
for the Christmas season
Love will be complete
Hope will be renewed
Merry Christmas to all that believe.

May love be shed abroad in your hearts this coming new year.
