A Gift from God
Marriage is one of the greatest gifts given to mankind by our loving Father, God Almighty. When man and woman are united in marriage they become one body, soul and spirit until "death do they part".
Marriage is to represent oneness in Christ Jesus. The marriage is to show Christ Jesus' love in a dead and dying world.
May I speak from a view of thirty years of marriage?
Each day is more precious than the day
before. Love is deeper than the depths of the sky. This is because our love is
in Christ Jesus as the source.
Each day as I kiss my wife a dozen times or more, it is as the first time we have
ever kissed. We are not at all familiar with each other. We will not dwell on
our weaknesses, but we will dwell on our love that we have for one another. This
love is born out of the Saviour's bosom; pure, lovely, kind, all-consuming.
Husbands and wives love, when founded in Christ Jesus, will always "beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, and endureth all things"; because Divine love never fails: for within Divine love there never has been room within it's realm to think one evil thought.
Husbands and wives love is one of divine excitement, even in the details of daily life; because their marriage has a divine purpose of revealing Christ Jesus in their marriage to others. A marriage that is Christ centered is always content in whatsoever state. The husband and wife have learned Christ as they cast all their cares upon Him, knowing fully that He cares for them. They are one in the Spirit and one in the flesh, living their life Spirit filled; for they have learned over the years that the flesh profiteth them nothing. They have learned that one negative thought will lead to battling in the flesh.
