If we look through the eyes of carnality:
1. We will only see faults.
2. The tongue will only know how to murmur
3. Gladness and singing will be broken, only to leave the songs of division upon our lips.Carnality is never satisfied, because it consumes all that is good, and spits out only negativity.
Example of carnality: You may have started something several years ago, and you were very happy knowing it was God's perfect will in your life, and in your children's life, but something changed. The change was that you went from being in the Spirit of being glad to carnality, seeing only the faults of others. In other words, you are now casting stones, instead of finding the pearl of great price. This is what carnality will do every time in your life. No longer do you hold valuable the things you thought were the perfect will of God because now you are too busy fault finding.
Carnality's only pleasure is self justification. You now go around looking and looking for things that justify your own carnal opinions.
The Bible says in Eph. 5:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
The carnal person will always say, "But this, but that, but you don't know how I am treated." The carnal person always has a but on the end of their tongue: "But I don't agree." The second you don't agree with what the Word of God says, you are wrong. But the carnal person will say, "That's your interpretation.", when carnality is ruling this persons life.
The first act of a carnal person is they have lost their first love, Christ Jesus, and their thinking is evil.
Carnality is bad, because it wars against God and His people 24 hours a day. The average carnal person can be kind, and even thoughtful to a point, but they will be full of humanism, and doctrines of demons, because they live Christianity in the flesh.
A carnal person will not meditate on the Word of God very long. Because they are so full of their own ways, there is no room for the Holy Word of God.
The cure for carnality is to repent and draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.
