Covetousness is Sin

Proverbs 23:7a For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he

Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.

God Almighty put a prohibition on covetousness.

Christ Jesus our Saviour in Mark 7:18-23 says what comes out of the heart through the mouth destroys man. Covetousness is one of the sins which Christ Jesus mentions. Please open your Bible and read how deceitful man's heart really is.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Paul in Ephesians 5:3 mentions covetousness is not to be even named among the saints. The heathens and the false religions of this world live now just as they did in Paul's time; in the spirit of covetousness.

1: They will sing no songs of praise to our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus

2: They will say no words to edify others

3: They will not think on whatsoever is pure, for they have no purity within their soul and spirit

4: They will only think of others in a negative way

5: Their thoughts are always on things for themselves

6: They will live in the spirit of bribery; giving something to others after they spent a day of tearing that person down

7: They perceive the word of God as hard as iron; therefore they despise it

8: They walk in their own opinions, disregarding what the Bible teaches

9: They are unpure in their thinking, talking and their actions

10: Their purpose is to gain more and more

11: They pursue the easy way out of problems

12: They have no Godly love, no Godly forgiveness, no Godly joy, and no Godly prayers

13: Church is a place of pain, for the word of God to them is a two edged sword; cutting into the spirit of covetousness Hebrews 4:12

14: They join the heathen world with all it's lust and deception, walking in the flesh blinded by the angel of light who is none other than satan himself; believing a lie rather than the truth. John 8:44 They are totally lost and on their way to hell.

How do you get out of this wicked sin? Simple, repent and ask Christ Jesus to come into your heart and to forgive you of all your sins. Ask Him to wash you clean from this kind of wickedness.
Asking Christ Jesus into your heart now to become your personal Lord and Saviour is the greatest gift God can give you.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are you saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God

Jesus loves you. Ask Him into your heart today.
