2 Corinthians 8:5 "And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God."

One of the very first indications that you have not totally surrendered your life to Christ Jesus is your imaginations 2 Corinthians 10:5. You still live very much in a fantasy world, always thinking of things that exalt themselves above what you know to be true. Your prayer life is full of interruptions of things you know that are not real. Fantasy! "Just think of what I could do for the church if I won the lottery!" This thought comes to you during your pray time.

If this thought goes unnoticed it will become part of your prayer life; coming back again and again to interrupt your prayer time with the Lord. This is just one of many kinds of fantasies the devil will send to keep us off the spiritual mark.

If you have not totally given yourself to the Lord, you will not be one with the local church and it's pastor/teacher, because you are still living in the fantasy world of deception. You will always have doubt that the pastor/teacher is doing things right. Fantasy will always say to you; "I can preach better than he", or "The fact of the matter is, that preacher is not very deep".

The person that lives in a fantasy world will always compare themselves by themselves; thinking themselves wise. In the real world they are not wise at all. 2 Corinthians 10:12 says, "For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise".
