Will you obey?
Daily Devotional for April 3

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and length of thy days"

To obey is one of the hardest things for mankind to do. The prison system is full because mankind can not obey the laws of the land. Obey! How many times have you personally driven over the legal speed limit? Mankind does not like to obey. It is not their nature.

When was the last time you were late for work? Your last doctors appointment; were you on time? Do you come back on time from your coffee break? We know that many people pride themselves to be on time, so that they can judge others that are not. Mankind loves to judge others. This is their true nature.

When is the last time you obeyed the word of God? When is the last time you said to our Lord, "Thank you for my wife"? Our wife is a gift from God. She needs to be held and kissed, and told how much you love her. A wife needs to be recognized for the great value she has. She is not to be ignored as yesterday's bread.

Our Lord is not to be ignored either. We should be praising Him all the day long; thanking Him for our very breath. Happy and joyful is the person that loves the Lord with all their heart, all their mind, all their soul, all their strength. Praise Him, Praise Him, Praise Him, for He is worthy to be praised.
