We are lost without Christ

1 John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin (our nature), we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."

1 John 1:10 "If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."

The Word of God dwells richly in all believers that know doctrine, and live in the finished work of our Lord Christ Jesus. They will not walk about committing sins against the Lord, because they have learned of His grace and mercy through doctrine. They love Him with all their hearts, and would not think of hurting Him through disobedience. Doctrine is how God thinks; not how we think on any given subject in the Holy Bible.

The believer will get angry or upset from time to time. This is when we use the recovery verse of 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". The unbeliever does not even know this verse is in the Holy Bible, because he or she does not read the Word of God. They have no idea how God thinks, so they are limited to only the natural mind that is void of who God is.

The unbeliever does not know how much God loves them. They have no idea that God loves them to the end of their lives as much as He loves the believer. The difference is that the believer has accepted all that was done on the cross for his or her salvation. They now live with the keys of life within, while the unbelieving has no keys to open up his or her heart to Christ Jesus.

My prayer is that, while one may read these daily devotionals God will open their hearts that are locked, so they can receive Christ Jesus into their heart to be their Saviour.
