King David saw
SonLight Daily Devotional Daily Devotional for April 13

2 Samuel 11:2 "And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon."

King David was looking at a woman washing. Then he sent for her, and committed adultery. The woman was married, but did not love her husband. Numbers 32:23 tells us, "Be sure your sin will find you out".

Husbands and wives that commit adultery only have human love, not divine love. Human love wants to be satisfied at any cost. Divine love will not hurt the one it loves. David had human love at this time. His libido waves were in charge of his life at this point. He looked, and was tempted.

The very same things happen today at the workplace. Someone looks, and they are tempted. Their libido waves kick in. The next thing, adultery is occurring. Mankind likes to call it an affair. God calls it sin. Homes are broken and lives are destroyed. All because someone could not keep their eyes at home.

What is so wonderful about our Lord is that He will forgive us no matter what! King David repented of his adultery, and was completely forgiven of this sin. Our Lord died upon the cross so that mankind can be forgiven. Our Lord came to save the world; not to destroy it. He loves each one on this planet; and would like them to be saved. He has given mankind a free will to choose life or death. The choice is up to you.

Trust Christ Jesus to come into your heart to save you from all the sins you are committing; or choose death and satan's independent nature because of your pride.
