Numbers 14:24 "But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed Me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it."
Caleb was a man that believed what the Lord had said. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" Philippians 4:13. Caleb was not worried about the giants in the land. He truly believed that the Lord was able to fight for him, so that he would posses the promised land. Forty years in the desert did not dim Caleb's hopes and dreams of the promised land. According to Joshua 15:13-19, Caleb now has his land that was promised to him by God Almighty.
You may have hopes and dreams that you are waiting for. Do not give up; follow the Lord fully. Time is meant to refine all of our sinful traits from us as we walk through our daily lives. Your dreams and hopes will be answered if they line up with biblical truths. The Lord has over five thousand promises in His word and they are all for the believer. Caleb followed God Almighty just as a believer follows Christ Jesus today; living in great expectation of something good is going to happen today.
Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
This is what Caleb did as he walked through time in the desert; waiting on the Lord. The victory will come, the battle will be won as you keep your eyes upon the Holy One.
Christ Jesus says, "Follow me till the day we will be one".
Bible References (KJV)
Joshua 15:13-19
"And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children
of Judah, according to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua, even the city of Arba the
father of Anak, which city is Hebron. And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak,
Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was
Kirjath-sepher. And Caleb said, He that smiteth
Kirjath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife. And Othniel
the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to
wife.
And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a
field: and she lighteth off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou? Who
answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of
water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs."
