Who's Fault?
Daily Devotional for April 20

Proverbs 21:9,19 "It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house. It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman."

Husbands, what unkind words have you spoken to cause your wife to be angry? What promise have you left undone? Husbands have a habit of saying things that hurt the wife, because they talk to the wife as they would talk to a man at work. There is sharpness in their voice that cuts deep into the heart of the gentle wife, causing them hurt; for they thought their husband could not use words that cut so deeply. This very action causes a wife to become hurt and wounded.

If the wife's position is not rightly related to the Lord Christ Jesus, they will live in a spirit of anger; growing worse each day. The wife that is not living in the forgiveness of the Lord will not forgive their husband ever, but will lay the misguided words to their charge; causing great division in the household.

Anger has no forgiveness within it's realm. The wife that is left with only anger will turn to the courts of the land for a divorce. This all started when the husband mistreated his wife with words that did not edify. The wife should be the most valuable person in the husband's life. He should be building her up all the time with words of love.

God Almighty has intended marriage to be a beautiful and lasting relationship. If your marriage is in trouble today, trust in the Lord with all your heart; and speak words of love to each other. If you are not saved ask Christ Jesus into your heart today.
