Good Works
Daily Devotional for April

Psalm 37:7-9 "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil."
Evil is in active opposition to all that is good. Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation is good. Believing the Word of God is great. Marriage is good. Sunday morning in Church is good. Christian morals are good. An on-time employee is good. Commitment to your spouse only is good. Obeying the 55mph speed limit is good. Prayer in the morning to God Almighty is good. Loving your wife as Christ loves the church is good. Living by every word of God is good. Loving your neighbor as yourself is good. Walking in the Holy Spirit is good. Being a cheerful giver to the Lord is good. Judge not, that you be not judged; that is good. Seek first the Kingdom of God; that is good.
The person on the other hand that calls good evil is lost, full of their own ways. They live by their feelings and emotions that think evil. They will do human good until it bores them, or no one recognizes them. They will help someone, but not for long. They have a habit called sin that will take them other places, to do human good.
Divine good has it's source in the heavenlies with the power of our Lord's resurrection in it. Divine good's motivation is divine love willing to help and not be noticed.
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
