Daily Devotional for April 25

John 15:16 "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you."

Our Lord chooses whom He wills to do His work here on earth. The Lord chose Paul to be his servant. Paul learned to be content in whatsoever state he was in. He found the greatness of grace in 1 Corinthians 15:10 "But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me".

The Christian that has learned grace will live in the resurrection power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The finished work will be his or her guide to a fruitful life that is living in Christ Jesus. Mercy will be fresh each morning, covering all effects of sins. The newness of life will be met in prayer time each day.

The Christian that lives like this is happy walking in the Holy Spirit; always with that attitude of sharing the love of God with others, because they know and appreciate all that the Lord is doing for them. They have a melody within their heart, praising the Lord Jesus Christ continually. They are one with the Lord in fellowship, taking all their problems to Him knowing that whatsoever you ask in His name the Father will do. They hold each day with great respect, not taking any day with familiarity.

Has our Lord Jesus Christ chosen you? Or does pride keep you away.
