29
John 11:25-26 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet he shall live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?"
The Holy Bible makes it quite clear where the state of mankind is without Christ Jesus as it's personal Saviour; dead. "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses, and sins" Ephesians 2:1
Dead people do not talk about Christ Jesus and His love. They don't sing praise to our Lord, nor do they take time to meditate on the Holy Word of God. They walk, they eat, they think, they move, they drive cars, they occupy houses, they talk; but they are dead to all that is true life.
They may be your neighbor out working in their garden, but as far as God is concerned they are dead in trespasses and sin. They have no capacity for the Word of God, because they are spiritually dead.
They may be honest people. They may be kind people. They may be important people. They may be doctors, but they have not been born again. They may even go to church on Sunday as I did for many years.
The day I personally asked Christ Jesus into my heart I became alive! The Bible has not left my hands, and my mouth sings praise to our God continually. Day by day I am learning more about His grace, love, mercy, forgiveness and His finished work. The greatest thing that can happen to anyone is when they surrender their lives to Christ Jesus and become alive to His voice "Follow me". Those are the Master's words of life.
