Romans 8:15 "For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."
How is your relationship with the Father? Are you in a personal relationship with the Lord where you can call Him Abba, Father?
Matthew sixth chapter and ninth verse Jesus taught His disciples how to pray to His Father. "Our Father". We also can pray to "Our Father", because Christ Jesus finished the work.
Paul is teaching us in the eighth chapter of Romans the fifteenth verse we can call God Abba, Father when we are walking in the Spirit.
Abba, Father means daddy, Father.
God wants us to have this kind of personal relationship with Him. He wants us to trust Him as a child trusts their mom and dad.
Do you remember when your children were young; how they would reach up and hold your hand as you crossed the street? Always remember God's hand is always reaching down to hold our hand during any time of trouble. He will not pull back and leave you alone; no He will not. His promise is that He will never, no not ever leave you or forsake you at any time. Hebrews 13:5
Carnal Christians do not and can not have this personal relationship with the Father because of sin. They have broken fellowship by living in the flesh continually.
Abba, Father: have you ever thought how wonderful a sound that is!
