2 Corinthians 13:5 "Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know you not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except you be reprobates?"
Our thoughts and our conversation, has it honored the Lord today?
Do we truly love the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul and strength?
Have we shared the good news that "Jesus loves us" today with others?
Did we open the Holy Bible and read of God's love for us today?
"Examine" is a present imperative; a command to do something in the future and involves continuous or repeated action. Am I in Christ Jesus continually, or do I drift into the flesh most of the time? The flesh will not think on things that are holy. The flesh is too busy with the things of this world. The flesh lives totally in it's feelings and emotions, not on what the Word of God says. The flesh is activated by the lust of the eyes and lust of the ears. The flesh is always full of it's own ways and own opinions.
The Christian is busy learning by the grace and knowledge of our Lord Christ Jesus. 2 Peter 3:18 The Christian lives from faith to faith in total trust in Christ Jesus, that all things are for their sake. The Christian knows that all things work together for them that love God. Romans 8:28
Faith - Greek "pistis": believing in the Word of God in it's entirety.
