Daily Devotional for August 14

Psalm 57:7 "My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise."

Psalm 108:1 "O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory."

We stand in grace, established in the finished work; looking unto the Author and finisher of our faith Christ Jesus. We sing praises from morning to evening glorifying the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We do not get moved from the total source of life; for we eat and drink the bread of life. Our meditation of Him shall be sweet, full of joy and happiness as we count all our blessings one by one.

We sing because we are happy as we walk daily in the Lord. We put on Christ Jesus, so that no provisions are made for the flesh. We take up our cross and deny ourselves; so that satan can not take advantage of us. Our eyes, our mind, our being, is fixed upon the Lord as we live in great expectation of something good is about to happen.

Our soul and spirit is overflowing with the grace of God each moment of the day.

We start out each morning with a song in our heart, and end the day with songs of praise. We give God all the glory and honour due Him. We know that there is glory and honour in His presence. We purpose in our heart not to change or go astray, because our being is fixed upon the total source of life, Christ Jesus.

We eat and drink out of the cup of joy.
