Daily Devotional for August 15

1 Samuel 15:23a "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry."

Rebellion can wear the sweetest smile and have the kindness of a rose. It can be most agreeable, with lips of sugar. Rebellion will say one thing and turn around and do another.

All rebellion is demonic in it's origin, led by it's leader satan. It works it's way into people's lives through acts of disobedience that go unchecked and unrepented.

Rebellion can enter into a believer's life when he or she judges others. Rebellion can also enter into a believer's life when they disregard the office of the pastor teacher and the God given message.

Rebellion is the father of pride, leading one to live continually in the 26 complexes of pride, fortified with a lying spirit. Rebellion's best quality is hate, living a life of no responsibility as it deals out it's destruction against others.

Rebellion will go to great lengths to hurt others, enjoying it's victory. It will always say, "I am justified in doing this".

The cross of Jesus Christ can heal that wicked spirit of rebellion at once. The blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse all the damage rebellion has done in one's life when they come to Jesus and repent of that wickedness.

Please help us, O Lord, not to walk in any type of satan's rebellion. Thank you Lord for delivering us.
