Do you speak often of the LORD?
Daily Devotional for August 17

Malachi 3:16 "Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon His name."

How thick is the book of remembrance going to be when God comes to your name? How has our Church attendance been so far this year? When we are in Church how much attention have we paid as the message from God went out? When is the last time we had conversation about the greatness of our Lord and Saviour in our homes?

When is the last time we took time to pray to the One that created us?

Our Lord has the only record that will count in eternity. He is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. When we meet our Maker and Saviour Christ Jesus, He will open the book of remembrance. His pages will not be as we thought they should be, but will give details how we were thinking and what our motives were each time we went to Church.

Hopefully the pages of the book of remembrance will not be blank day after day as you walked the face of the earth. Hopefully the book of remembrance will not read, "Too busy", "Too intellectual", or "Too rebellious to receive Christ Jesus as your personal Saviour". All that reject Christ Jesus as their personal Saviour will end up at the White Throne judgment Revelation 20:11-15.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
