Daily Devotional for August 18

Genesis 6:5 "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually"

Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

Parents that do not share the Holy Bible with their children are evil, causing their children to go astray. Parents that tell their children there is no God are evil according to Psalm 14:1. Parent that teach their children a false religion are evil.

This kind of parent could be very kind, loving, caring; wanting nothing but the best for their children, but they live at the tree of good and evil. They are not born-again, so they have no interest in sharing the gospel with their children.

These parents will teach their children the earthly wisdom of James 3:15-16, for they have no godly wisdom.

Parents will send their children to the school system, which teaches nothing about Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Saviour of the world, but will teach false religions.

Deuteronomy 6:6 "And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down and when thou risest up."

Parents do not even teach their children how to pray before they eat a meal. Parents teach the children there is a Santa Claus, which is a lie, but refuse to teach about Christ Jesus as their Saviour. Parents talk about the Easter Bunny, but never mention the resurrection of Christ Jesus which is not only biblical truth, but also historical truth.

Parents, please take the time to share Christ Jesus with your children.

Parents, if you are not saved, ask Christ Jesus into your heart today so your house can become a home.
