Have you Forsaken the LORD?
Daily Devotional for August 22

Isaiah 1:4 "Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward."

"sinful nation" there means "a dumb and stupid nation".
"iniquity" goes against God's plan, God's purpose, God's provision.
"children that are corrupters" that which ought to be the very best when corrupted becomes the very worst.

The children of today know how to act at school to please the teachers, but it's another thing to hear and see the hatred they have for others outside of school.

The working class pleases the boss at work, but at the local bar room they tear him apart.

The teenager can be sweet to mom and dad, but behind their backs they can talk them down.

This is truly happening over and over again, all because many people around the world have forsaken the Lord.

Ephesians 4:29 "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

The unsaved do not understand that they work for the demonic system by tearing others down. Let our speech be kind and building up others. Let us not be of them that have forsaken the Lord.
