August 23
Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
"Confession" Greek "homologeo". To speak the same things. To be in total agreement with all that the Holy Scripture says about Christ Jesus. To believe in thine heart in His Deity, His resurrection, His atonement, His incarnation, His finished work, His total grace, His total forgiveness, His total mercy, His abiding in you.
He loves me. Jesus loves me: forever and ever. This is just the beginning as we walk in Him all the days of our lives.
He teaches us to live as we die to self.
Today do not miss the opportunity to hear the Master's voice as He leads us to all truth. Enjoy the presence of our Lord as we worship Him in Spirit and truth. Enjoy prayer as our intimate time with Him. We are not thinking of things of this world, but we are occupied with Christ. Our thoughts are of lovingkindness, for this is what He is always drawing us with in Jeremiah 31:3.
The self centered person can not think this way, for their unconsciousness is too full of things of this world. The saved person has time for godly things. Reading the Holy Bible, praying, going to Church each time the door is open. Fellowshipping with the Lord. Praying prayers of faith for the sick. Knowing He loves me. Jesus loves me.
John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
