Daily Devotional for August 26

Luke 12:34 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

My personal treasure is in the Body of Christ, knowing what great value each member has in particular, and seeing the continued working of the Holy Spirit in each member as their treasure is poured out to build up and edify others.

Each believer has a treasure in their earthen vessel. Our Lord would like us to be poured out upon the lost, the sick, the wounded and the lonely.

The treasures that a wife has for her children and her husband as she encourages them in the word of God.

The treasure friends in Christ have as they share them with other friends in the Body of Christ of the mercies of the Lord.

The treasures the local Pastor/teacher has as he feeds the flock. He shares the love of God, which brings out the treasures of eternity, the treasures of grace, the treasures of love, and the treasures of fellowshipping with the Lord.

Each Christian is a treasure within a treasure. Always remember that a treasure has great value to all that receive. There are great treasures of joy when the believer is obedient to the Holy Word of God.

My wife and I were at the Greater Grace World Outreach in Baltimore, MD the week of June 22 and saw many treasures of gold, and silver and precious stones, sharing their treasures with the Body of Christ.

In the eyes of our Lord you are His treasures.
