Daily Devotional for August 29

John 15:9 "As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you: continue you in My love."

Love knits lives together as the days and years go by.

Love holds a child in it's hand, and sees the value that child will have some day.

Love is always thinking how to help the one that has no hope.

Love sees God's creation beautiful, worthy to be praised.

Love will not give up on someone that may have fallen by the wayside.

Love is God's grace in action to feed a hungry lost soul.

Love shines in the darkest home to heal the brokenhearted.

Love covers us from sin below with a robe of righteousness from heaven above.

Love multiplies the happy times and wipes the tears when sadder days come.

Love sees us through to the end of life to place us in eternity's depths.

Love was sent from above, to show us the road below so we will not stumble on the rocks of sin.

Do you love Jesus more than your problems? Is He truly the Author and Finisher of your faith?

Hebrews 12:2 "Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Do you wake with a melody in your soul, with the love of God being shed abroad in your heart? Do you look forward to each day as the day the Lord has given you; to love others as Christ Jesus loves you?
