The unbroken will
SonLightPastor's Thoughts for August 2001
from the desk of Pastor Curt McComis

Matthew 6:9-15 "After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

A person's will must be broken. Without breaking of the will there is no value for another's soul.

This is a doctrine which is kind and sweet, but many very foolish parents sometimes evade. They bring up their children (or child) with an unbroken will, and very little discipline, and call it good-natured, loving, and kind. It is cruel, base, and selfish. They leave the will breaking to be done by strangers. This ought to have been done in the home by the genius of unconditional love.

This world belongs to God: all the sonlight, all the air, all the gold and silver, all the oceans, all the wind, and all the rain are His.

As long as our will is unbroken, our flesh has it's reign. The unbroken will knows no obedience to the cross of Christ. It cuts out all loving kindness, and replaces it with the angel of light's human goodness, which has learned to deceive one into thinking their love is real. This is truly the genius of satan's independent nature, leaving sin to reign.

The unbroken will strengthens the flesh through demonic thoughts, producing a shield of lies; for it's easier to believe a lie than the truth.
The person that lives with an unbroken will becomes a great mocker to all that is Christ like. They will cleave to others of the same unbroken will, for they will speak the selfsame things without any conviction or shame.

The unbroken will lives continually in the spirit of pride. They are always thinking, but never in the right direction. They can talk for hours of worldly things on the phone, but never want to discuss the loving kindness God has for them.
The person that lives with an unbroken will may come to Church for years: instead of becoming Christ like they become perfected gossipers with tongues full of poison, for they mimic their father of all lies.
John 8:44

The unbroken will is characterized by:

  • the spirit of rebellion and disobedience

  • the spirit of lying and gossip

  • the spirit of human good and evil

  • the spirit of unforgiving and hate

  • the spirit of deception and cruelty

  • the spirit of stubbornness and self-centeredness

They will not and can not be taught the precious things of God. They are unsaved with no interest in Christ Jesus as their personal Saviour.

If you live in any of these evil spirits, do not wait unto it's too late. Repent now and ask Christ Jesus to forgive you so that you can learn of Him. His love, grace, mercy are real. Come to Him today. Release the chains of darkness with garments of praise. Start walking in the Light.

Bible References (KJV)

John 8:44 "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."
