Sinner
Daily Devotional for
December 3

Luke 18:13 "And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner."
Have you ever told God that you are the sinner that broke His laws; in fact, most all of them.
Hopefully you are not like the Pharisee, going to God and telling Him all the good deeds you have done.
Until one admits that they are the sinner, our Lord cannot bestow His mercy upon that person. Yes! We have sinned with our eyes. We have sinned with our tongues. We have sinned with our hands. We have sinned in our thoughts. This is the very nature that is imputed to us at birth, and we all do what comes naturally: sin.
Sin is satan's independent nature that breaks all of God's laws.
We are all the sinner that Jesus Christ said will receive mercy, when we acknowledge our sinful life before the presence of God. God is merciful not only to forgive us of our sins, but also to blot them out forever.
Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins."
God is so good that He remembers our sins no more. No more guilt. Period.
Enjoy the wonderful thoughts, "Forgiven, forgotten forever our sins". The very second we ask Christ Jesus into our heart, the guilt of sin is now become whiter than snow.
