Daily Devotional for December 11

Romans 1:1 "Paul, A servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God."

Paul is saying that he is a bond-slave to Jesus Christ, living his life to please the Lord all day and all night. His only purpose is serving the Lord in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Paul was not caught up in the details of life; instead he preached the gospel of life to his last day and night.

Paul was in the desert for three years so that he could learn Christ. There he learned to be a bond-slave, living his life in the grace of God.

The bond-slave had no rights but what the master wanted him to do. He spoke no negativity against his master, living only to do his will.

Christian, have you become a bond-slave; thinking and doing what our Master wants? Are you determined not to know any thing among others than Jesus Christ and Him crucified?

1 Corinthians 2:2 "For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified."

Is your time spent in prayer talking to the One that loves you unconditionally? Is your prayer today, "Lord, Thy will be done"?

The bond-slave is under the master's protection all of their life, just as we are under the Lord's protection every moment of our lives.

Psalm 100:2 "Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing."

It is a joy to do the will of God daily, never a burden.
