One strong reason teenagers go adrift

Galatians 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

Teenagers that attend Church each Sunday without thinking on the value of the Cross of Christ will live in an empty, so-called Christian life. They will be filled with their own ways, with their own thoughts; leaving no room for the Cross of Christ; never thinking about how Christ was beaten, spit upon, placed in the middle of two thieves, nailed to the Cross - to die for their sins.

These teenagers minds are full of worldly thoughts which leave out eternity. They only have a temporal value system which leaves them living in the flesh. Over a period of years they enter into their twenties with this attitude of unbelief, even though they may have spent the first sixteen years or so in Church. They never think about the Cross of Christ, because when they were younger they thought in a temporal value system, never once in the eternal value system which includes the cross of Christ, the resurrection of Christ and the redemption of Christ. For as a teenager thinketh in their heart, so they will be as they grow older.

The temporal value system has never had one thought of the agony of the Cross of Christ and the shame that Christ had to endure.

This is why the teenagers of America are falling by the wayside of life. Satan has done his job of deception very well. He knows that Christianity without the Cross of Christ has no eternal life abiding in it. If we do not take the time to think about the Cross of Christ and what it really means, we too will have no eternal value system.

Today have we taken the time to honor the Cross of Christ?
