Psalm 106:15 "And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul."
Many a prayer request, because it was not in the perfect will of God, over the process of time has sent leanness into their soul.
The first step down into leanness in the soul is to stop abiding in Jesus Christ our Lord. When one stops abiding, the mind becomes full of other things. These things can be called the details of life. John 15:4a says, "Abide in me, and I in you". Leanness will come every time you stop abiding.
The second step down into leanness in the soul is to leave your first love Revelation 2:4. We no longer talk of how sweet His love is, like we used to. We no longer live in divine expectations of Psalm 62:5, but now we live in a routine life in the flesh. We become bored when we are around Christians that love the Lord.
The third step down into leanness in the soul is that the Lord is no longer high and lifted up. Our problems are now become our king. You wake in the morning with them, at night you toss and turn by them, and sleep is lost.
Come to Christ Jesus. You will find only the abundance of love, grace and mercy John 10:10b.
