Psalm 106:15 "And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul."
The fourth step down into leanness in the soul is we grieve the Holy Spirit of God Ephesians 4:30. We choose not to listen to the sweet and tender heart of God Almighty. We become easily upset and withdraw from the body of Christ. When going to Church, God is knocking at our heart, but we are too stubborn to let Him in. The blame game now starts, for it has to be someone else's fault other than ours.
The fifth step down into leanness in the soul is the backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways Proverbs 14:14. His own ways are to become a talebearer or an accuser of the brethren. He or she has now become a helper of the kingdom of darkness under the authority of satan, going about to hurt the work of God.
The sixth step down into leanness in the soul is to love the world and the things in it 1 John 2:15. This leads into spiritual death. Pride now reigns. You are no longer interested in the word of God because leanness is the king in your heart. The person needs to enter into 1 John 1:9 and repent to God.
Come to Jesus Christ to receive life abundantly.
Ephesians 3:20 "Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think."
