He Heals the Broken in Heart
Daily Devotional for February 9

Psalm 147:3 "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."

When we lose a loved one our heart is broken. Tears run down our face. Our thoughts are that we didn't do enough. The fast pace of life that many of us live in leaves no time for thought of others. The Bible says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints" in Psalm 116:15. Our Lord cares for the very hair on our head. He has ordered our steps, and numbered our days. Hebrews 7:25 says, "He ever liveth to make intercession for us". Our Lord always has time for us. His thoughts toward us are always peace.

Each day is a gift from God. Learn to enjoy it. Share the love the Lord has given with others. Every day, I look at my wife and thank Him for the gift He has given me. Every day I am so thankful for my health. There are so many folks out there that are not thankful. Satan has robbed them of their joy. Many people don't even believe in God. When they have a loved one pass away they turn bitter and angry. They may stay that way all their lives missing life, but abiding in death.

Life is full of yesterdays. In Christ Jesus our memories will be joyous and happy. We will remember the great times we had with our loved ones, knowing that we will be reunited with them in heaven forever. We can say with the writer of Romans 8:28 that "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose".
