Daily Devotional for February 16

II Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Today is new. What happened yesterday is old, good or bad. Today the Lord's grace is sufficient for us. The fact of the matter is that His grace is much more than we can receive. The Lord gives us life abundantly. Today is the Son shining in your heart? Do you have hope that your expectations will be met fully by our Lord? All things are new today. Yesterday you may have blown it, but today His mercy is afresh. The Lord's forgiveness is real today.

Today just as I was penning down a few thoughts for this day I received a call from a dear friend that his dad was taken to the hospital with a possible heart attack. Today we never know what will come. This is why old things pass away and new things are for today. Please, by the grace of God do not live in the past. Live today in the fullest. Loving one another as the Lord loves us. Pray with freshness as we think about our friend's dad. Touch him Lord Jesus. Heal him please, Lord Jesus today.

This is the only day we have. Let the Lord fill it with many blessings. Love with commitment. Today.
