Daily Devotional for
February 18
2 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
Fear stops the wheels of progress in many people's lives. The fear of failure may enter in at any time causing doubt; thus what a person may have started stops. Sad as it may be, some people are afraid to do anything. Therefore they only live in "I wish I had done that". Fear is the enemy that causes doubt. This comes from the pit of hell.
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
God has given us love divine so that we can walk in faith to do the things we need to do. Love is full of Philippians 4:13 faith.
The person that lives with the spirit of fear leads a life without peace. They are always fearing something bad will happen. The one that lives in the love of God has an attitude of no matter what, there is a silver lining in the details of life in Romans 8:28. For example: Personally having cancer, now I have a greater compassion for others that may be going through this trial. Feeling their fears and anguish. Knowing that the love of God becomes greater by just receiving it.
Lord Jesus Christ, touch us with your unfailing love today.
1 Corinthians 13:8 "Love never faileth"
