What Road?
Daily Devotional for February 22

Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

The only way to life is to receive Christ Jesus into your heart to be your personal Lord and Saviour. John 14:6 says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". Jesus is saying that this is the absolute only way, this is the absolute truth, this is the absolute life; there is no other way to Heaven but through me.

Many people think that many roads lead to heaven. This is the broad way. This is the humanist way. This is the false teacher's way. The broad road is trying to work your way to heaven by doing many good deeds. On this broad road one thinks he or she just has to be good and kind, and God Almighty will accept them in heaven.

The broad road eliminates the cross, the death and the resurrection of the Lord. This is why the broad road is so popular. No remission of sin. Satan loves when people live on the broad road because he can minister to them. John 10:10a says, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy". This is exactly where the broad road will lead many.

God has given all of mankind a free volition to choose either the broad or the narrow road. What has been your choice? There is no middle road.
