Though the sun may be darkened
Though the clouds roll in on every side
Though the pressures of this world come in

All seems to be lost

Though time has taken her toll
Though hours drag by as years
Though seconds cause endless pain

All seems to be lost

Though loved ones are breaking your heart
Though loneliness is knocking at your door
Though defeat rules the day

All seems to be lost

Though wisdom seems distant at this time
Though sleep is just a memory
Though peace is beyond your reach

All seems to be lost

Though health has made a turn for the worse
Though help has crept away
Though your steps are now heavy

All seems to be lost

There is a profound and timely hope
There is a God that is truly able
There is abundant life

One thing I know

There is mercy that is fresh each morning
There is grace in which we stand
There is the finished work, our resting place

One thing I know

There is our peace, Jesus Christ, our Lord
There is power in His resurrection
There is eternal life
Though all may seem to be lost

One thing I know
God is able
