1 Peter 1:7 "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ"
Trials are not something to be afraid of, for saint and sinner alike will go through trials of life. Saint and sinner will have family members pass into eternity, or will have some sort of sickness which causes all kinds of problems. Trials will reveal in the saint's life where his or her trust really is. Trusting the Lord when trials come is the most comforting thing in this lifetime.
As Christians we can ask the Lord to comfort us through the Holy Spirit that lives within our soul and spirit. The Christian can ask the Holy Spirit to bring in remembrance words of comfort.
Hebrews 13:5b "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
Matthew 28:20b "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."
These are tender words of comfort when one is going through trials of life. We do not say trials are easy as pie; but with the Lord we know that all things work together for good when you love the Lord with all your heart and soul and mind.
Our Lord is in the midst of any trial, for He is truly the fourth man in the furnace Daniel 3:25. No matter what you are going through, please remember the Lord loves you and gave His life for you. He wants to comfort you in your trials. Come to Him, for He cares for you.
