Be careful of your request
SonLight Daily Devotional Daily Devotional for July 9

Psalm 106:15 "And He gave their request; but sent leanness into their soul."

Many a man and many a woman have prayed to God Almighty that He would send the perfect love of their life to them; but ended up getting impatient. Impatience caused them to walk outside of God's perfect plan; thus they ended up choosing instead of God sending. Over a period of time things did not go right and they ended up feeling forsaken.

Other times, because of one being impatient, they will go to God day after day with one prayer; "Send me a husband" or, "Send me a wife". The Lord answers their request. They may be happy for awhile, then again things happen and that person ends up not going to Church, not praying, and not reading the word of God. They started out full but ended up empty.

Some people go to a Church. For awhile they are even happy. They say things like "God has sent me here" or, "This is my church for life". The next thing you know, that person is praying "Get me out of this church", "Send me anywhere, for it would be better than this Church I attend now". God answers their request, but over a period of time leanness is now entered into the soul and spirit because of a pride complex. They will not go back to the Church God called them to. They will stay outside of God's perfect plan.
