We pray you are not a fool
Daily Devotional for July 12

Psalm 53:1 "The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good."

There is nothing new under the sun, for mankind still says these very same words. They have no love for God, but they sure do love themselves. The unsaved will boast that there is no God because they are living totally in the flesh. They live their natural life without knowing how much God loves them. Their portion is what they get out of life.

Proverbs 27:20 "Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied."

Are you listening? Hell is never full, because of man's rebellion against God's plan, purpose and provision. They add iniquity to iniquity as they rebel against what is truth. The fool will say, "What is truth?" They look for truth in science, nature, religions and education, but do not pick up the Bible and read John 14:6.

John 14:6 "Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me."

Christ Jesus is saying, I am the absolute and only truth. I am the sum total of all that is truth. Learn of Me and you will know the truth. But because of rebellion the fool will not pick up this Holy Bible and read it. The fool wants no part of this book, for it makes him angry.

We hope you are not a foolish one, but one that studies this book.
