Is the gospel hid to you?
Daily Devotional for July 16

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 "But if the gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

The gospel is also hid to them that say they are Christians and do not read the Holy Bible, nor go to church each time the doors are opened. The gospel is also hid to them that do not meditate on the words that are written in this book. There are a lot of so-called Christians that are dumb as a pet rock when it comes time to opening of the Holy Bible.

They are filled with their own ways, so they are too busy with the details of life to study the word of God.

2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Our Lord wants us to study His word daily and to take in doctrine daily, not just when we may feel like it.

Our Lord also wants us to meditate on what we read, and take it in as doctrine daily. The key word is daily. Daily praying, daily reading, daily meditating on the word of God. The so-called Christian that does not study is not approved by God. No! Not for one moment.

God does not approve of disobedience at all. Jesus Christ our Lord said come, learn of Me, and lean not on your own understanding.
