1 Timothy 5:17 "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine."

Christian, do you respect your God given Pastor/Teacher? God says you are to give the Pastor/Teacher double honour. Why, do you say?

Hebrews 13:17 "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you."

Christian, if you do not believe these two simple Bible verses, just cut them out of your Bible; or better still, just simply ignore them. You can say, "Nobody has rule over me. I am accountable to no one". Satan's sin is his independent nature mixed with his pride complex saying, "I will be higher than God". You can say the very same thing, and be proud of it. You have a free volition to choose to obey or disobey.

Christian, when you do not respect your God given Pastor/Teacher you will find yourself in hot water of sorts. Maybe your health will become a problem, or maybe you will become unstable mentally. The children may end up in disobedience. You could have financial problems. All because you have no respect for your local Pastor/Teacher.

What we mean by this is: as the Pastor/Teacher preaches the Word of God on a Sunday morning, and you get convicted by the Word of God; instead of repenting of your hidden sins, you choose to ignore the Word and get mad. You walk away in disbelief, filled with your own opinions; not submitting to the Word that is being preached. Sunday after Sunday you will sit there in Church without respect for the Pastor/Teacher. You have grown to hate the very person God Almighty has given you as a gift, to help you learn doctrine. You now live in a spirit of stubbornness, going to Church in the flesh, looking for ways to spread unholy gossip.

The Pastor/Teacher has to present you to Christ Jesus with grief. All because satan whispered in your ears, "You don't have to submit". You believed a lie; and satan becomes your head - all the days of your life. You cause all kinds of problems for the local ministry God has placed you in so you could grow in grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. You end up on earth a very unhappy person. All because you made the wrong choice.

Please repent if you are living a life like this. Christ Jesus will forgive you at once. Come to Jesus and find the peace that has vanished from you.
