Fear
Daily Devotional for June 5

Job 3:25 "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me."
Fear is one of satan's weapons of war that he uses against Christians. Fear can cripple the Christian, so that he or she never completes the will of God. Fear takes away love and replaces it with worry. Once worry is in control of a person's life, all they can think about is the details that cause them to worry.
Job had great fear which caused him great anguish, but he would say in Job 19:25 "For I know that my redeemer liveth". He still had faith in God Almighty, after losing all that he had. He learned a great lesson in spiritual warfare. His friends had no idea of the battle, so all they would do is blame him. This is the case in many of God's peoples lives. God is teaching them about warfare, and others may think that person is off spiritually. Satan loves to deceive people that know little doctrine. When all was said and done, Job prayed for his friends in Job 42:10 "And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before".
Job overcame fear by faith in God. We can overcome fear also by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and casting all our cares upon Him, in 1 Peter 5:7.
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me."
The only way one can be saved is to ask Christ Jesus to be their personal Saviour. He is the only road that leads to heaven. He paid the price no one else did.
