One Body
Daily Devotional for June 16

Ephesians 4:4-6 "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

Christ Jesus would like us to be one body as He moves and has His being in us. The gift of oneness has the power of the resurrection living within it's being. We serve a risen Saviour who wants to impart life to the body of Christ, so unity can move forward against the attacks of darkness.

When the body of Christ is not one it's forward progress is hindered by the Spirit of division. Instead of unity, confusion and strife breaks down the power of unity and oneness; leaving the body of Christ wounded by satan's darts of doubt.

Christ Jesus paid the price so that the body of Christ can be one.

John 17:21 "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me."

Blessings and benefits are the result of the working of the Holy Spirit when oneness is leading the body of Christ. Body members go to Church with joy in their hearts as the Word of God ministers to the spirit and soul. They learn the value of oneness as they grow in grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus, ready and willing to share the love of God with others. When the body of Christ is one, victory over the devil is won.
