Daily Devotional for June 18

Proverbs 16:24 "Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones."

Christian, may I ask, Are your words as sweet as they ought to be today? Have your words built up others so they know Christ Jesus loves them? Have you shared with others that Christ Jesus can be trusted no matter what?

Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."

Christians, have your words become brittle and hard to the hearers? The words you speak; they are not supposed to be course as sand, but gentle and sweet as though they just came from heaven above.

The details of life sometimes can cause one's words not to be as kind as they should be. We are sometimes overwhelmed by situations that cause stress, which causes one to have hard words. We need to be careful, because words are very important.

Words can heal or they can destroy just by the way one may say them. We need to be careful how loud we may speak, and how much we may speak. Tender words are much needed in this world today. Words that minister life in all situations are very important in today's world. Kind words could very well change a person's destiny.

Christians have sweet words to share with the lost sinner today. "Jesus loves you". "Come to Christ Jesus". "He will forgive you of all your sins". We have words of life, love, grace, mercy and peace. We have words that speak of the resurrection of Christ Jesus.

Christians walking in the Holy Spirit will always have the right words to say, by the grace of God.
