Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice."

1 Thessalonians 5:16 "Rejoice evermore."

The second fruit of the Holy Spirit is joy Galatians 5:22. Christians have no joy because they have stepped outside of God's divine love that thinks no evil 1 Corinthians 13:5. Paul is writing to the Philippians to have joy, because the Philippians were being overtaken by a spirit of anxiety. Their middle name was anxiety. The demons of hell were causing the Philippians to worry about everything.

People that live in the spirit of anxiety come down with all kinds of physical and mental diseases. Some people because of anxiety can not leave their homes. Some people because of anxiety have all kinds of stomach problems, such as ulcers. Some people because of the spirit of anxiety can not sleep at night.

1 Peter 5:7 "Casting all your anxiety upon Him; for He careth for you."

Our Lord Jesus Christ wants all of us Christians to cast all of our anxieties upon Him continually. Problem small or great? Cast them upon Him. Don't carry them around so that you will end up defeated by the lying kingdom of darkness.

Joy is great medicine for the soul and spirit. That is why Christ Jesus said in John 15:11 "These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full".

Joy is a gift and should be asked for each day. Ask and you shall receive, just as you asked Christ Jesus to come into your heart and to forgive you of all your sins. Ask for joy, then just receive the abundance of it. Keep on receiving grace.
