Marriage can have problems

Ephesians 5:22 "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord."

In marriages, a demon called Baal-peor causes bitterness to reign instead of love.

Numbers 25:3 "And Israel joined himself unto Baal-peor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel."

Deuteronomy 4:3 "Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you."

Hosea 9:10 "I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw you fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baal-peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved."

This demon is looking for ways to make marriages unhappy and superficial. These forces of hell can hypnotize man and woman through the power of the air, plaguing them with the spirit of bitterness which destroys the marriage. When bitterness is in control these kinds of marriages live in a constant state of confusion.

Love is wiped out, replaced with a spirit of manipulation, being tossed to and fro. The demons act under satan's authority. The demon whispers unreal thoughts as the person's soul cleaves to the dust Psalm 119:25 instead of the Cross of Christ. The marriage may go on for years, but not as Christ loves the Church.

The demon doesn't like to live alone, so he goes out and takes seven more spirits more wicked then himself Matthew 12:43-45. The state of marriage will become seven times worse. The marriage will affect all others that are around. The demon is no longer alone but now has his buddies working harder than ever to destroy what God has meant to be a blessing.

Christian marriages are being attacked by the forces of the air. They use TV, computers, movies, music, dress and talk to bring their agenda across. They know Baal-peor has worked over the years to bring bitterness into the marriage, which causes love to be pushed aside leaving it's wicked spirit of bitterness to take over. Walls go up and hardness sets in, leaving the infected one to feed on ashes.

Isaiah 44:20 "He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him (or her) aside, that he (or she) cannot deliver his (or hers) soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?" The right hand speaks of fellowship. When bitterness is winning in a marriage there will be no tender fellowship.

Marriage is meant to be a happy time, a loving time, a growing time. As Christ loves the Church, marriage has been created so love can grow. Good or bad marriages are meant to bring out the life of Christ; His love, mercy, grace and forgiveness.

God is still in control. Abide in Him; help is always on the way. No matter what, God is drawing us with His lovingkindness. Walk in love and bitterness will be stilled. Draw near to God and the devil has to flee.
Walk in love choosing the sweetness of grace to supply all of your needs.
