Daily Devotional for March 12

John 4:17-18 "The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly".

Mankind has not changed at all. In today's lifestyle man and woman are still living together in many cases not married. They say this is the modern morality, but as we have just read; the woman at the well was living unmarried. This was almost two thousand years ago. Sin has not changed.

God has meant marriage to be sacred, and beautiful. The devil has tried his best to make marriage meaningless. Married couples are at high risk. The movies, the TV, and many different stories depict an affair as something good. In reality it is nothing less than adultery. Adultery is sin.

When people are committing adultery they are sinning against their own body. They are also hurting the other party in the marriage very much. All because they chose to live in satan's independent nature. Satan does not care who he hurts. Neither does the one who is committing adultery. If the marriage has children, adultery is hurting the children also. Scars of adultery can be felt by children all their lives. Also the innocent party has been scarred for life. This is the end result of adultery. Sin can have pleasure for a season.

You can ask for forgiveness from God. He will forgive. If you are not born-again truly, you can ask Christ Jesus into your heart today. You can start all over fresh, and clean, and new. Ask Him to be your Saviour.
