Psalm 50:17 "Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee".

Mankind as a whole will not obey the word of God. The word of God to mankind is not interesting because of the instruction it gives. Love your enemy and do good to him. This is God's instruction to mankind. Mankind finds a way to kill his enemy either with a gun, a knife, a bomb, or with words because, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked" Jeremiah 17:9a.

Mankind spent 2.5 billion dollars on Prozak in 1998. This is just one of the many drugs that tries to calm down mankind. All because mankind casts the word of God behind their back. We all know that mankind needs doctors, scientists, lawyers and government leaders to help. Mankind also needs the Bible as their road map through life. The Bible tells mankind where they are at, and how to get where they are going; but when mankind casts the word of God behind their back they lose direction and reason.

Our Lord's instructions are not hard. All he says is to "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men" in Matthew 4:19. "Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28. These are not hard instructions to those that believe in Him. Who doesn't need rest and comfort? All of mankind needs this, but only a few will choose these instructions to follow Him.

Sad to say, mankind has many problems. All because they cast the word of God behind their backs. You can cast all of your cares upon Him for He really cares for you.
