Is our meditation sweet?
Daily Devotional for March 22

Psalm 104:33-34 "I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of Him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord."

Christianity has the songs of life. This Psalm is one of many Psalms that have been put to music. "My meditation of Him shall be sweet". Meditating on our Lord brings gladness and joy. Psalm 23:1 says, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want". Our shepherd leads, guides, protects, feeds and loves us. My meditation of Him is wonderful. He has done great things in my life over and over again. The Lord has supplied my needs over many years. The Lord is faithful. He never leaves us or forsakes us. He is there all the time. This security brings a gladness within my soul as my meditation of His words brings great joy to my being.

When we have songs of life within our soul we tend to be much happier than those that are empty of song. Simple songs like "Praise Him, Praise Him" break the air of tension that satan tries to bind us up in. "The joy of the Lord is my strength". That is a song of victory. That song makes us feel like jumping up and down. That song wants us to hug our wives and children.

"It's a happy day today, Jesus came today, To save my soul and make me whole, It's a happy day today". The joy of the Lord is my strength today. It's truly a happy day today. Over and over we sing "It's a happy day today, Jesus came today, To save my soul and make me whole, It's a happy day today".
