Where are you walking?
SonLight Daily DevotionalDaily Devotional for March 25
from the desk of Pastor Curt McComis

Acts 9:11 "And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go in to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth"

The Apostle Paul started on a street called Straight, and never varied once. Paul was called a chosen vessel, and one that would suffer for Christ Jesus sake. Paul had a song in his heart, as well as one on his lips in Acts 16:25 while he and Silas were in prison in Philippi.

As Paul walked on the street called Straight, he had to suffer many times. In 2 Corinthians 11:23-33 Paul shares some of his experiences. Paul had a call on his life and followed it until his death. He did not stop because of troubles. He looked unto the Author and Finisher of his faith, Christ Jesus.

Many Christians start on the street called Straight, but the details of life send them into the muddy waters of this world. Once in the muddy waters of life they drift away from the glory and honour that is in His presence. They get blinded by satan's lies and end up living a life less than total victory in Christ. They are easily deceived into thinking that our Lord has forgotten them. Not true.

Our Lord is doing all He can to place us on the street called Straight. His hand is there at all times. Reach out and grab the hand that will help you to walk on the street called Straight. You will find great peace on that street called Straight.

2 Corinthians 11:23-33 "Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times I received forty stripes save one. Thrice I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, and a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is offended, and I burn not? If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern my infirmities. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.
In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands."
