Search me, O Lord
Daily Devotional for May 2

Psalm 139:1,23 "O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts"

Mankind does not ask that question "Search me, O God". They are too busy looking for the answer to aging. The sinner is not about to ask the question "Search me, O God". They are too busy living in some sort of pleasure. Have you considered why mankind, nor the sinner will ask the question "Search me, O Lord; penetrate my being to see where I am at"?

Our Lord Christ Jesus says in Mark 7:21-23 what is living in the unsaved heart of mankind. "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man". Mankind hates the truth about himself. The picture he wants to paint is, "Mankind has a disease, and we can cure it". All we have to do is watch the news, and mankind has not succeeded. There are still murders, robberies, rapes today; just as Jesus Christ said almost two thousand years ago.

The answer for mankind is as clear as it can be; "You must be born again" John 3:7, because mankind is walking without hope in the darkness of sin. They are not interested in reading the Holy Bible to find the truth.

Our Lord Christ Jesus died upon the cross for the sins of mankind, because of the love He has for His creation. Mankind walks in death every day until he is truly born again.
