Daily Devotional for May 5
John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
The abundant life is when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, and you are walking by faith. Love is the only motive that runs our lives. We love the Lord with all our heart, soul and being.
Many Christians over the years of spiritual battle lose their first love Christ Jesus Revelation 2:4. They go through trials, but turn negative towards the Lord instead of drawing from His unconditional love.
We love the Lord first thing in the morning. The last thing we say to Him at night is, "We love you". We love Him for all the many blessings we enjoy. We love Him for the gift of eternal salvation. We love the Lord for His promises that we will meet our loved ones that have gone home before us. We love the Lord for our wives that He has given us. We love the Lord for the Book He has left for us to read. We love the Lord, for He has turned us from all our meanness.
We love the Lord for the ministry He has placed us in, The Greater Grace World Outreach of Baltimore, MD. We love the Lord for our pastor/teacher, Pastor Carl Stevens. We love the Lord for all our missionaries that lay their lives down all over the world for the lost.
We love the Lord, for there is Glory and Honour in His presence. We love the Lord for mercy that is fresh each morning. We love the Lord for His grace that is sufficient. This is only the beginning of loving the Lord. We will have all eternity together to enjoy His love.
